Saw/Dressing grits are the reference often given to diamond abrasives used in working materials such as granite, slate, marble, concrete, ceramics, polymer composites and glass. Pinnacle Abrasives’ CSD group of saw/dressing grits offers a complete range of diamond, from the high strength CSD4 to the very sharp CSDS. The Saw grits range in mesh sizes from 25-70 (US Mesh), may be doubled to expand the sizing, and are available with chromium, cobalt, nickel, silicon and titanium coatings.
The dressing grits range in mesh sizes 10-25, and are also available in ‘ultra’ sizes ranging from 2mm- 4.2mm.
Saw Grits

CSD4
Yellow, uniform, cubo-octahedral crystal, high strength and excellent thermal stability. Used for the most demanding metal bond applications such as refractories and reinforced concrete cutting. |
|
CSD3
Yellow, blocky, cubo-octahedral crystal, excellent shock resistance, good thermal stability. Suitable for sawing and drilling granite & concrete. |
|
CSD2
Yellow cubo-octahedral crystal with high strength and thermal stability. Suitable for sawing and drilling a wide range of material, including concrete, refractories, granite, hard marble and limestone. |
|
CSD1
Yellow crystal with uniform blocky shape. good strength and thermal stability. For use in cutting and drilling various medium stone, ceramic and some concrete. |
|
CSD
Light yellow crystal, mostly blocky shape, good thermal strength. For use in cutting and drilling medium to soft stone, some ceramics and low strength concrete. |
|
CSDR
Yellow blocky crystal with slightly irregular shape. Use where thermal stability is not of primary concern. Works well with soft stone. |
|
CSDM
Yellow crystal, mixture of blocky and angular particles. Good free-cutting properties, suitable for general purpose applications and hand-held tools. |
|
CGD Group
Green blocky crystal, unique inclusion structure performs smoother cutting with less chipping, extending tool life. For tooling used with soft granite and marble. |
|
CSD1E
Consistent but irregular crystal shape with rough textured surface. Good free-cutting characteristics with good bonding retention. Suitable for use in electroplated tools. |
|
CSDS
Mostly sharp particle shapes, lower in strength, high friability. Good for metal bond tools where low abrasive strength is needed. |
